2024 I Am Texas Letter Writing (2nd - 5th)
Ends on

The 2024 I Am Texas contest is open to writers and artists in grades 2nd-12th. For the middle and high school writing contest, students may submit fiction or nonfiction writing inspired by artifacts from The Bryan Museum collection. To see this year’s featured artifacts, go to www.iamtx.org or visit The Bryan Museum in Galveston to see the artifacts in person. Students in elementary school should write a letter to someone, past or present, who has contributed to Texas history, culture, or is a personal hero. Artwork should follow the “I Am Texas” theme; however, creative interpretation is encouraged.
