2024 I Write Short Stories by Kids for Kids Publishing Contest Presents

Each year, young writers in the 3rd-12th grade all across the globe have the chance to be published authors and illustrators. This year's theme is Fantasy. iWRITE will be accepting Fiction and Non-Fiction short stories, poetry, and illustrations from August 2023 through April 2024. The finalists will be named in September 2024. Our winners will be announced on our website and published in the I Write Short Stories by Kids for Kids 15th Volume Anthology. One hundred and twenty-five winners will be chosen and receive one complimentary copy of the Anthology. Editor's Choice Recipients will have the chance to read their work at iWRITE's Annual Book Signing Celebration and receive additional media opportunities.

I Am Texas Logo 

2024 I Am Texas Contest Presents 

The I Am Texas contest is open to writers and artists from around Texas in the 2nd-12th grade. Middle School and High School students may submit Fiction or Non-Fiction writing inspired by artifacts from The Bryan Museum collection. To see this year's featured artifacts, go to www.iamtx.org or visit The Bryan Museum in Galveston to see them in person. Students in Elementary School should write a letter to someone, past or present, who has contributed to Texas history or culture. Artwork should follow the I Am Texas theme; however, creative interpretation is encouraged.
